I was concerned about the safety of our friends and cooperatives in South Africa and contacted them about that specifically. Here is what I received:
Yes thank you for your concern, but not to worry all is well. I am sure the headlines are more sensational than they need to be. But tragic events have occurred and will occur until the people want to see a different future.
Change is due again and hopefully those people that act with violence will not be tolerated in any race or culture. You get intolerant whites and also intolerant blacks.
If neither wants to bury the hatchet we won't get anywhere and just keep on repeating the same old drama. But the interesting thing is I have spoken to more and more black people and their disgust of corrupt and immoral black politicians. A few years ago they would not have voiced their concerns and just hoped that the ANC had their best interests at heart, now they realise they need to say something to change that.
Life goes on peacefully in 90% of our wonderfully diverse country.
